Service Impacted by Police & Protest Activity – Friday June 5Our routes will continue to be impacted by police activity, roadblocks, and detours today (Friday June 5) and likely through the weekend. Access to the Stoneridge Mall area will not be possible for our Route 3 buses after 5pm through the weekend. As a result, a temporary stop has been put in place on westbound Stoneridge Road west of Springdale Avenue. Route 3 will detour using Foothill, I-580, and I-680 returning to the regular route eastbound on Stoneridge.A protest and march scheduled to begin at 2 pm today June 5 at Amador Valley Community Park in Pleasanton will require a detour on the Route 10. Santa Rita Road will be closed to traffic between Valley and Stanley on Friday June 5 for a period of time from approximately 1pm until 5pm during the event. During the time the road is closed, we will be unable to serve all northbound and southbound Route 10 bus stops between Mohr Avenue and Stanley Boulevard. In addition, the protest is expected to impact the intersection of Valley and Hopyard for a period of time, which could disrupt service on the Route 8 and the Route 54.The Pleasanton Police Department has informed us that the 6:02 Route 53 bus from the W BART Station will be permitted access to pick up pa***engers.Based on activities of the past five nights, service impacts are likely on the Route 14 in the area around the SF Outlet Mall and on the Route 30 between Fallon Road and Ta***ajara at some point in the late afternoon or early evening. Other detours may be necessary elsewhere in our service area. With the lifting of the Alameda County curfew, the evening service suspensions that have been in place will no longer be necessary. We apologize for the inconvenience. |
